2. How do I pay?

We accept cash and cashier's checks. You can also use a debit card, for an additional $10 fee. We do not accept personal checks or credit cards.

3. Why are Continental's rates different from what I saw in the newspaper or on the internet?

The rates you see there are called "spot" rates. They are averages of buying and selling rates for multi-million dollar transactions, which makes them useful indicators for businesses and investors. Rates you find at foreign currency exchanges will always be different from those rates.

4. Do all exchanges have the same rates?

No, rates vary from one exchange to the next. We invite you to call the foreign currency exchange at O'Hare Airport (773-462-9973) or downtown Chicago exchanges (312-807-4941) and compare their rates to ours.

5. Why are rates higher elsewhere?

Exchanges in locations like airports and large hotels charge higher rates because they will always have a steady stream of customers who have no other options. We depend on our low rates as well as our personal service and knowledgeable staff to attract our customers and keep them coming back.

6. Are you still buying old European currencies?

As of the beginning of 2002 the Euro is the official currency of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.

Continental ForEx will continue to buy all the currencies replaced by the Euro at discounted rates until further notice.

7. Can I return foreign money I have left over?

If you bring your paper money back with your receipt, we will buy it from you without a service fee at our current buying rate. We will buy certain coins, however, we buy them at a discount rate,  therefore, it is best to spend them abroad.

8. Can I contact your service through email?

If you have any other questions concerning our services, we can be reached at the following email address: continentalforex@gmail.com
